Tummy Tamer Smoothie with Papaya and Lime
I know cutting into a papaya can be a little intimidating at first. After all, it takes a couple of extra minutes to scoop out the seeds, and peel the fruit — but the results are well worth it.
Papaya makes a creamy and deliciously exotic addition to your morning smoothie. Plus papaya is a natural source of a powerful enzyme — aptly named papain — that supports healthy digestion. Papain is so powerful, in fact, that it’s used to manufacture nutritional supplements.
But why get your nutrition from a pill when you can get it from the whole food? Getting your nutrients from real food is much more efficient; in other words, the nutrients are more bio-accessible. In addition, real food — in this case, papaya — tastes fantastic!
This gorgeous smoothie is packed with fiber, antioxidants, and, of course, the papain for better digestion. It’s the perfect remedy for getting your tummy back on track.
